What Does It Mean To Give?

 

What does it mean to give? Merriam-Webster’s dictionary states that give is a transitive verb that means to make a present of; to grant or bestow by formal action; to put into the possession of another for his or her use. Our definition is to share resources with one another for the greater good of our community.

 Giving/Charity has been around throughout all of human history. We can give our time or our money. In a perfect life, we would all love to give our time…what a better gift to give to a child? Giving your time means you are giving a part of your life that is irreplaceable. The fast paced society we live in today makes our personal time extremely limited.  There are only 24 hours in a day and oh how fast that time passes us by. 

If you can’t give your time, please consider donating items the children could use in our activities such as poster board, glue, crayons, paint, paper, folders and magazines. For large corporations we welcome your items that have your company logo on it. We also welcome snacks donated for the kids to have at snack time.

There is a place where everyone can fit in. If you can’t give your time or supplies, you could always give money. When we give, we want to give to something true, something that will make a difference. At Kash Kids we are creating a debt free America one child at a time.
